Noémie Vidonne

Born in 1999, Noémie Vidonne currently lives and works in Mulhouse.

She began her studies at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin (HEAR) in Mulhouse in 2018, graduating with a Master of Art in 2023. Her multidisciplinary practice oscillates between sculpture, video, printmaking, painting and installation.
She questions memory and places, whether mental or physical, exploring how these spaces spatialize and transform over time.
In her artistic work, the artist creates scenes and atmospheres of spaces she has passed through, places she has visited in her dreams or that belong to her past.
Whether through childhood memories or more dreamlike ones, she allows us to experience new environments filled with the memory of her family and her own history.
What interests her about memory is that it's never exact, always a bit hazy.
This is particularly true of dreams, a mixture for her of sensations, images and mirages.

I remember that the garden is indoors, waterfalls fall from the sky, the horizon is infinitely white and the stars gather on the ground.
