Atelier Mondial

Grants

Atelier Mondial provides residency grants abroad to artists and cultural workers from the region of Alsace (FR), South Baden (DE), and the Basel region (cantons of Basel-City, Basel-Country, and Solothurn). Each spring, announcements are issued for the grants in various disciplines for the following year. The destinations may change from year to year, as can the disciplines eligible to receive funding.

    Call for Applications

    for 2027

One can apply in the fields of visual arts, literature, dance & performing arts, fashion & textile design and curation/art mediation/art critics. Applications are open to artists and cultural creators in selected areas as long as they demonstrably live or work within commuting distance from Atelier Mondial (the cantons of Basel-City, Basel-Country and Solothurn, South Baden up to Freiburg, and Alsace). Artist duos receive a grant in addition to the regular grant and are welcome to apply to the specially designated residency destinations.

This video provides more information on the application process.
