Aqui Thami is an indigenous artist from the Himalayan region living in Bombay. She uses social exchange and develops safe spaces to position art as a medium of healing in the community. She is a founding member of Dharavi Art Room, Bombay Underground and Sister Library.
During her residency (January to end of March 2023), she plans to work with feminist organisations to connect with and learn from the community, as well as create prints, zines and radio interventions. She also wants to work on developing a board game that encourages players to reflect on their own experiences and gives them the opportunity to empathise with others in society.
