Anna Soz
Anna Soz (b. 1993, Moscow) is an artist, curator, and educator with a background in media research, journalism, and IT. Her work centers on xenopoetics, hybrid forms of coexistence, and the ways contemporary techno-social conditions shape modes of thought and representation. Her current practice engages with the entanglement of ecological, political, and social crises, understood as structurally co-produced through technocapitalism and epistemic enclosure. Through artistic and curatorial practice, pedagogical interventions, and experimental methodologies, Anna’s research pursues emancipatory thinking, speculative reasoning, and world-making. It seeks to trace collective trajectories and models of composition that reconfigure the conditions of intelligibility across shifting epistemes.
Since 2023, Anna has been based in Mulhouse as a laureate of the PAUSE program for scientists and artists in exile, initiated by the Collège de France and hosted by Haute École des Arts du Rhin. Within the residency framework Ecological Transition and her project Towards Transversal Futures Through the Collective Body of Land, she has been developing methodologies embedded in her artistic practice while working closely with students to foster collective reflection, imagination, and action. Anna has been teaching the course Art in English at Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg since the autumn of 2025.
