Anna Maria Balint

Anna Maria Balint (born in Basel in 1992) completed her Master of Fine Arts at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam in 2020 and was awarded a studio grant at the Atelierhaus Klingental in Basel. From 2016 to 2018, she received a studio grant from the GGG Foundation. In 2016, she completed her bachelor's degree in fine arts at the HGK in Basel.

Sculpture and drawing are at the center of her artistic practice, and her sculptural and drawing works are often closely interwoven thematically. Her previous works have focused on urban development processes and the transience of built space. Currently, her work is evolving thematically from architectural outdoor spaces to the world of interiors and everyday objects. For her sculptures, she uses materials such as concrete, glass, metal, textiles, glass fabric, epoxy resin, and, more recently, 3D printing. She has shown her work in group exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Basel, Villa Renata, Space25, the Klingental exhibition space, Kunsthaus Baselland, BolteLang Galerie, Het HEM Amsterdam, and the E-Werk Freiburg, among others.
