They cross borders, leaving the familiar behind and setting off to discover new places to call home for a while. Artists generally steer clear of preconceived notions, preferring novel works and ways of thinking about the future—often despite their fears and doubts. Their works allow sounds, light and heat to flow from one space to another, turning walls into membranes.

Accordingly, this year’s editionof Regionale will span the upper floor at Kunsthaus Baselland, along with the neighboring TransBona-Halle, and the exhibition space at Atelier Mondial, which curated and produced the exhibition jointly with Kunsthaus Baselland.
