Nora Volk
Nora Volk (born 1996) works as an architectural mediator. Nora studied urban and spatial planning, specialising in participatory urban development and urban design in Erfurt. She grew up in Basel and Weil am Rhein, and is therefore particularly interested in transnational urban development. Alongside her studies, she worked on urban planning competitions and various participation formats. She has been involved with Open House Basel since 2021.
In her work for Open House Basel, Nora is responsible for the "Change of Perspective" mediation project, the "KIDS" family programme and the coordination of the festival's volunteers.
Her work aims to make as many people as possible aware of the design of their built environment and to promote dialogue between laypeople and professionals.
